... and highlighted Charlize Theron's fatal inability to run to the side ...
In Space, no one can hear you scream ...
In Prometheus, no one can act like a scientist ...!

ALLLLLLRIGHT, now hear this: I sincerely doubt that she had a choice to run to the side because of all that debris coming down from the sky. She would have been hit if she had left her path. Just take a look at the scene again. What Shaw did was extremely risky. She was lucky because she waited till the last second and made it.
The only thing which is a bit questionable is that the Juggernaut came straight down after it was hit. Normally it would follow a ballistic curve and then hit the ground. Well, I guess this is due to the Scott-Lindelof secret law of modern SciFi film making...
However, naturally there is another explanation for all these discrepancies and flaws. Just imagine NOTHING of all that has really happened. It was just a dream during cryo sleep. Maybe it was even David's dream which would give us a wholly new perspective...
Anyway, since the movie was released on DVD I have watched it a zillion times because of the AMAZING look and the themes the movie deals with. Its potential is so great that I am really looking forward to the sequel.
