OK here we go again. UHU02 has announced the next masterpiece and it is to be the Alien/Prometheus the (depending on what you read) Derelict, Ring, Space Jockey or Engineers ship, UHU02 has gone with Juggernaut which is good enough for me. This is the ship that started it all in Alien as the nest for the eggs and highlighted Charlize Theron's fatal inability to run to the side in Prometheus

In Space, no one can hear you scream ...
In Prometheus, no one can act like a scientist ...!

ALLLLLLRIGHT, now hear this: I sincerely doubt that she had a choice to run to the side because of all that debris coming down from the sky. She would have been hit if she had left her path. Just take a look at the scene again. What Shaw did was extremely risky. She was lucky because she waited till the last second and made it.

The only thing which is a bit questionable is that the Juggernaut came straight down after it was hit. Normally it would follow a ballistic curve and then hit the ground. Well, I guess this is due to the Scott-Lindelof secret law of modern SciFi film making... ;)

However, naturally there is another explanation for all these discrepancies and flaws. Just imagine NOTHING of all that has really happened. It was just a dream during cryo sleep. Maybe it was even David's dream which would give us a wholly new perspective... :)

Anyway, since the movie was released on DVD I have watched it a zillion times because of the AMAZING look and the themes the movie deals with. Its potential is so great that I am really looking forward to the sequel.

    :):):) GO, UHU, GO!!!! :):):)

:) I would prefer the Prometheus version because it looks more symmetric and massive. :)

    (@Marco Scheloske : I hope you see this! ;) )

Hey, the ship was trying to jump her bones, besides, I think she was a robot. That's why she was so focused. She crushed well though. :)

Cheers for UHU, and I was just give a nice Mesh of this model, and have almost completed it's conversion to Rhino3D format, which would have allowed me to unfold it, oh well!

    Go for it UHU!!

@Revelle-Fan, all the weight was at the end of the ship, which is why it came straight down, like so many failed rockets, that, coupled with soft ground, it seems a plausible suspension of reality was satisfied. You notice so many things, you so horny for Sci-Fi!! :)

    That's a good theory. :)

Hmm, according to physics an object in motion tends to stay in motion. The Juggernaut got hit from the side in an almost 90° angle. So in theory the ship should have followed a ballistic path in the same direction and thus hit the ground a few hundreds of meters away from the launch site:

    I fully agree! :):):)

OK, enough OT, back to UHU's model! ;)

I would of thought better the uncertainty of falling debris rather than the certainty of the big rolling falling crushy thing especially as the other scientist only had to roll 3 times to get out the way.BUT the main thing is the model and that should be amazing and hopefully, like the Argonaut models. lead to others such as the Prometheus herself and maybe even the Space Jockey. Anyhoo early design work.

You must take into consideration the different in mass, evident as the Prometheus penetrated the hull, blew up, did not alter the ships trajectory, damaged the thrusters, and brought her down. Kind of like shooting an elephant with a high powered gun. The Derelect's larger mass would satisfy the "Objects in motion", it would be much harder too alter it's trajectory. Besides, the Prometheus was just a model, and the Derelect ship was real!! The Prometheus was like a pimple in the ass of progress. :)

The crash appears to be causing some problems with research as,from what I can gather from Googles far from perfect translations, the ship appears to flip round during it's roll. UHU02 has made some drawings of the crash. The ships top is yellow the bottom red.

    Always thank you:)

    My guess…
Grounds the orientation of the rotation after crash
    Scene has been changed

@uhu02 : GREAT FIND! My guess: The pilot wanted to hit Vickers at any cost to get his revenge. So he made the necessary course corrections in order to crush her. --- Wait a minute --- THAT'S IT! Vickers would not have sustained a chance at all even if she had run to the side. Prometheus mystery solved - FINALLY! :D:D:D

Despite being busy solving mysteries UHU02 has continued the design work :) 13.jpg 14.jpg

The WIP pic reads "68mm x 264mm x 291mm". So printed on A3 it would make ... the MOST impressive model of the Juggernaut I have ever seen..! :)

Boy, talk about lack of continuity. Good luck. You'll just have to select one. I would take into consideration the ship from the original Aliens movie, as it has been around longer. IMHO. ;)

I guess (and hope ;) ) UHU is making the Prometheus version. The Alien version is already in the making:
