*So, I should probably tell you about the two snoots. I bought them from my LHS for SUPER cheap (athearn blue box kit) and thought it would be cool to build them up real nice. So, I need some help in regards to detailing. First, 6867 is alot more finished than 6338, so, what else do you think I need to add to 6867? Number boards is the obvious thing, and some of the equipment needs to be added to the roof (any ideas where I can get that stuff), but can you guys think of anything else?
Heya,
First order of business when doing detailing would be to take a look at the prototype's photos, which can be found here:

Looking at those, I would add the following to your Athearn loco:
Details Associates:
1508 MU Hoses (goes on the pilot, front and rear.)
1803 Sinclair radio antenna (you need to build an antenna platform for it out of .015" styrene, and it goes on the cab roof).
2202 Grab Irons
2206 Lift Rings (goes onto various locations on the roof)
2211 Coupler cut bar (goes on the pilot, front and rear, above the coupler)
2314 Windshield Wipers
2217 Curved Grab Iron (goes on the rear long hood, around the last radiator fan)
2309 Vapor type air conditioner (goes onto cab roof)
2504 0.012" Brass Wire (Use this to bend the plumbing for the airbrake cylinders.)
Details West:
127 underframe-mounted bell (goes in front of the fuel tank on the fireman's side)
155 Plow (goes on the front pilot. The engine looks naked without it!)
Get some 30AWG insulated wire and use that to make the MU cable, and maybe use some sand filler hatches to make the MU receptacles. These go on the pilot, front and rear.
That particular Bunsuf unit also has ditch lights.. Both DA and DW have ditch light kits, but you will have to figure a way to light them. Fiber optics maybe.
You can get all those detail parts from places like Discount Trains Online, Walthers, etc.
Hope this helps! :thumb:
