X-WING (with movable wings & partial interior intention of the technology).

three landing legs - "wedding" - rear outer wall beginning... The landing legs are removable, but I will glue them on at the end, as the model will stand on them (and not :( fly).

Lovely. I have to say the tubes are looking great. Is it hard to make the tubes with the paper thickness you use?

This is DEFINITELY the go to model for the x-wing!:bowdown::bowdown: Maybe make a stand for it just in case you change your mind about the landing gear and keep it "in flight".:)

I use 180 paper. The best way to roll it is to leave a margin (1-2 cm), start with a ballpoint pen refill, then cut away the auxiliary margin and finally use a thicker sewing needle and twist very tightly. Remove the sewing needle and twist tighter. I use a piece of paper clip as the end, which I then insert and glue, so the tube remains stable and doesn't kink. I only use wood glue.

Thats a great tip to try with thick paper. I use printing papef A4 sheets for my tubes but I gone try your way.

It would be worth a try:wave:
I believe that you're working off the UHU02 X-wing design, which IS the best design of all the X-wings out there. Nice choice on adding an extra dimension that wasn't there before (re: movable wings).:)

I believe that you're working off the UHU02 Z-wing design, which IS the best design of all the X-wings out there. Nice choice on adding an extra dimension that wasn't there before (re: movable wings).:)
Do not forget Imcold's X-Wing. Imcold's outer hull around UHU02's innards would be perfect and ultimative. :)

Rear fairing finished (simple is something else). Is the Imcold's X-Wing model available for download?

Thank you for the download. I will try on neutral paper to see if I can also do these "ageings" with the airbrush. I haven't tried paper with an airbrush (acrylic paint) yet.

I'm looking forward to seeing that. Please post your progress when you have any results. :)

finally the fairing is finished, the small parts were easier to assemble, I had to start the bow twice...
Now the four lasers and the cockpit canopy are still missing - “glazed”, of course - and R2D2...
Our colleague Revell-Fan has a great sense of humor.
