First off it looks awesome. Secondly I'm not really that up on the innards of the R-4360 as strange as that may sound. I have the maintenance manuals for the Super Corsair so I guess I could find out.
Just for clarification the blue colored piping is induction and the brown is exhaust.
Some R-4360's (-52 I think) had a turbocharger ring at the aft end of the cylinders that the exhaust fed into. But Supers didn't use that particular engine. As far as I know (and I could well be mistaken) most of the mods to the Supers when they were racing in the late 40's were external with the exception of weight reduction. I think the engines were pretty much stock.
The intercooler for the super charger would have been on the back end of the engine and dumped out the accessory compartment cooling vent. Must have been a furnace in there because the oil coolers also exhausted through there.
First image is of the accessory vent mentioned above. Second is the Super Charger on #74 (currently being restored). And the last ones are factory shots.
