Good morning from a sleety Chicago where I think Jon's Iowa weather is heading our way. Closed schools at home. It certainly was convenient to take the train today - and I get to take the L later.
I've been changing the layout to allow Thomas, James and Percy to all run together with a trolley loop. This is Fortner Yard I put in one corner - replacing a simple trolley loop. James looks pretty good pulling the K-Line Santa Fe cars in his 'Express'...
Panning left, you can see the bridges I put in where the radon vent pipe comes out of the crawlspace - it's kind of squishy there, hence the cardboard underlay. I can't believe Percy can pull all those cars - he's at the top.
Continuing to the left, you can see the now-three main lines, and two sidings - the remaining trolley loop of pre-war track is at the top - this doesn't look right. You can see Eagles Ridge Electric Park somewhat dimmly at the top.
Continuing to the left, I cut off the sidings - they were bunching the 027 track - the #520 is resting on a separate piece of track whilst I figure out how to isolate his siding.
Looking right again, see how Thomas's line wraps around the yard and circles the small town in the upper right. Mt Seaman is on the left.
Frank53, that is clever way of visually integrating both levels.
