I call it the glowing house syndrome... This is a common problem I've found with the pre-assembled structures and the kits. When you put lights into them, the plastic walls and roofs are so thin and the lights are so bright that the structure actually glows. This is the case with your little white house and I saw a station in particular in one of your pictures that was glowing as well. This is actually very easy to fix or at least make a lot better. Simply paint the inside of the structure black - several coats may be necessary but it really helps the light to come out of just the windows and not the whole structure. I even black out a lot of the windows because in the real world, you don't often see every single light on in every single house. Another quick fix to the problem... I roll up a simple cylinder of white paper, put some black paper on top of that and tuck the whole mess up inside of a structure. The white paper encircles the light bulb (make sure the bulbs don't get hot or you risk catching your paper on fire) dimming your light source causing the structure to not glow so badly and the black paper on top keeps the light from shining through the roof. clear as mud? For what it's worth.....
