Star Wars Millenium Falcon from Shunichi Makino

The most difficult part of the kit have been assembled: The quad turrret. Shunichi used regular 80 gsm paper for the barrels; heavier paper would make assembly pretty difficult. And here is a direct quote from the maker, translated by Google translator:

"The next time is finished!"

:)

IT IS COMPLETE!!
(24 pages + 1 page with modified parts + 2 pages stand)

Shunichi Makino just published last part of Falcon. Thank you master designer.
As author writes the weathering on Falcon is not randomly painted, but is made as it was in Empire Strikes Back.

Now we need to wait for UHU02 Cockpit, so we can stuff it in:biggrin:.

Who will be (or is) building Falcon?:)

I certainly will! thumbsup

I can't wait to see everything finished. It is such a rare occasion that two designers are independently working on different parts of the same subject at the same time AND at the same time keep the same level of accuracy... Moreover, both of them are JAPANESE, too! WOW! And then there is the Perfect Grade Falcon from Bandai coming out... These are definitely the most exciting times for Falcon lovers!:bowdown::bowdown:

Hell, if I knew how to add more to these fantastic projects - I would immediately chime in, too. But at the moment I'm dusting off some old BSG scripts I wrote almost twenty years ago - and will resume work on the Aurora soon. So no time for anything else for me. ;)

Little gift from me to you guys:

Build Instructions for Falcon in English

Makino released instructions in japan language. So I google translated it. Nothing fancy, plain google translator thing, so not laught at me for that:). I think that it will serve the purpose. Someone with better english can correct it.;)

Because instructions are images and text can not be copied from it, I translated instructions from his blog, and insert it into the pdf on appropriate places.

Hope it will be useful for somebady. Hawe fun building it.

You should see what Google translator does when you translate a Japanese text into German..! :D:D:D

As preparation for UHU02 cockpit conversion for this Falcon I reverseingeneered Shunich Makino Falcon cockpit. After UHU02 releases his cockpit I will fit it in. Cockpit is cca 40mm length and around 33mm in diameter, so it is owerkill to incorporate all UHUs details as is. Some complex parts, like pilot chair, will not be doable after downscale. They will need simplification or complete redoing. Can not wait to work on it.:)

I Can do cockpit as it was in Star Wars: A New Hope (ANH) right now, I have amazing textures and 3d models of cockpit made by Joshua Maruska. But this Falcon is Empire Strikes Back (ESB) version, and designer puts lot of work to make it acurate, so I do not want to mix it up.

This is Joshua Maruska amazingly accurate ANH cockpit:

UHU02 is doing ESB Falcon cockpit (lots of new details added in comparison with ANH), so lets wait for his magnificent work to make it accurate:).

I can see it also, because I am turning it into ANH version:animated:. But it will not be anytime soon with my time shedule (I am working on accurate ANH Tie-fighter paper model design simultaneously and still need to finish X-wing build, but I cut paper in colder parts of year, warm part of the year is design time for me) :).

I started to trace ANH Falcon paneling:
