The buildings can be downloaded for free, but only for a short time.

you are indeed correct but after the free run is over they will all be available for sale as one big download.

So this is similar to the German manufacturer

who also has monthly downloads of models that he sells later.

ah! I didnt realize gleimo took away the freebies! good to know. Normally PTA does not offer them for free first. This is a special promotion (I think) to introduce their new line of buildings.
