Colonial Landram from Battlestar Galactica

Hello friends!

Don't worry, the project has not been abandoned. It is just on hold for a short time and will be picked up when other projects are finished. Stay tuned!

If it makes you feel better, both the ships I designed (a 1:285-scale Leopard for Classic Battletech, and a 28mm-scale ISSAPC from Space Above and Beyond) I did in Illustrator, with the draw-cut-cuss-and-correct method. Then I'd color it all on Photoshop.

The Landram looks awesome so far.

This Landram is outstanding! Very cool! This is a cool vehicle for sure. Anticipation!

I have finally modelled the turret and started unfolding the pattern. Here are some preview shots of the parts sheets. Layout will be improved later. I'm unfolding the Ram at 1:18 scale (for action figures) and will rescale it to have another one in 1:24 (for vehicle collectors) and a third one in 1:32 scale (matching the Buck Rogers Thunderfighter and Colonial Viper kits), too. The Ram is about half the length of the Colonial Viper so you might guess how long the final versions will become.

VERY VERY NICE!!!
I am really looking forward to building this model. I will try my hand at the 1:32 scale (to match the rest of my collection.).

I could see this being integrated into a really cool assault staging diorama, along with a couple of Vipers or TFs (or both), and a shuttle.

TF cockpit, landing gear AND a landram designed in 1:18? Revell-Fan you are beyond awesome! The lamdram is on my build list, and yes, I have already started to rescale, but now, :)
Thank you!!!

Hmm... a 1:18 Viper? ... I still have to get a 1:32 Viper kit ready (a new one with correct proportions and more detail than jleslie's). Then we might talk about that! But what do you think about the attachment??? (Just made a quick sketch to see how it looks like; imagine B.A. crashing through a gate or wall with this thing; "B.A.'s barricade buster"!)

I like the paint scheme. BLACK OPS?
I take it Starbuck (AKA Face) recruited The A-Team?

I do have to say that Caine can not hold a candle to Hannable when it comes to tactics.
"(with cigar in mouth"and a BIG CHEESY GRIN) I love it when a plan comes together

Murdock flying a Viper? That would be SCARY indeed.

BA: "I pity the Cylon fool!"

All joking aside, It realy does look GOOD.

That's exactly what I had in mind yesterday evening, pal! :thumb:
