Train show - DC part 5 of??? Other than N

Just to show you that (1) there were other gauges present at the show and (2) that I did not spend ALL of my time at the nscale layout here are some of the other pix

The Nn3 modelers were represented by a nice "western" US set of modules. I thought that I had more of them but it looks like I only got one shot.

Ttrak modelers had 2 small layouts- one a mining/ city grouping, the other a steel manufacturing complex - all well done and attracting a bunch of younger modelers probably because it was closer to the floor.

The wye on the HO layout seemed to have trains running through it all the time. I never saw such a busy module. They ran a lot of trains. The last photo is a scratch built replica of the Fredericksburg Train station (now an Amtrak stop). The mirror on the backdrop of the module shows the "street side" of the station.

The hirailers had a nice display also. I tried to get a better vies of this logging Shay but the driver kept it on the outside track near the glass.

This must have been one of the biggest shows around David. You sure kept your camera busy.

Very impressive to see a layout of this size. My compliments to those involved in organizing this event.

I drove the 1300 miles from Oklahoma to be at the show. Actually had a pretty good deal on the travel arrangements, the LHS paid my gas and motels. He went early to use part of the trip as a vacation with his family before the show, and I was the freight truck to bring out his product. Definately want to go back to the West Virginia area to do some railfanning.

Great posts David! I also was there and took some digital pictures. The Nn3 layout was one of my favorites.

glad to see your photos, Bill. I wish I had met you there. But then there were a lot of folks on the floor. I really liked that Nn3 layout. I am glad that you posted your shots. Did you get any others?

All the time that I spent taking photos of the layouts on both Saturday and Sunday did save me a 'bunch" of money. I didn't take much time looking at what was for sale. I only bought a couple of decoders and 2 MT tank cars. I wish I had taken some time to look at the loco sellers. Maybe next show.
