Train driving career?

My daughter has just finished high school and asked me how she could become a train driver. so i was wondering how to direct her in her future education toward that goal..

There is an engineer school in Dunlap, GA. Northfolk Southern will pay for you to go there but you will have to signa working contract with them. CSX will almost autaticlly hire you if you go on your own and pay your own way. That school is one of the countries best.

Thanks for the great links to info , i was wondering if there are similar places in Canada.Do the main employers like Canadian National/Canadian Pacific have their own education centers ?
