My wife has chosen a new hobby - sewing - and it seems I'll end up inheriting a heck of a lot of thread spools. The first one I painted tonight, I'll use it as one of those infamous cable spool loads. Which will work for the first few. But one can only use so many cable spool loads.

Any other ideas for the whackage of these I'll end up with.....

What type of spools are they, Mike? Thick? Solid? tubular? ridged ends? plastic? Wooden? Or maybe all sorts! Slice them up. Bridge pillars, Water tanks maybe?.

If they are the right size, you cut them in half. Across the center, (not end to end) and they make nifty picnic tables for the patio.
