As always, you have done a FAN(FRAKKING)TASTIC JOB on this project!!!
I like the little "toaster" that you put on the tool cabinet.
The storage behind the wall (for the other tools and equipment) is GREAT IDEA!
The build (as a whole) is beyond belief! If I had not followed it from beginning to end, I would not have believed that this was made from paper. You truly are a MASTER BUILDER!!!
Thank you for sharing this WONDERFUL JOURNEY (as well as your tips & techniques, and all of the extra components of this diorama) with all of us!!!
Again, the reason I do my step by step sequences , is that if you look at most of my projects, you would be confused if I were to state that it is made from cardstock. The proof is in the viewer seeing how the model came to be what it is. I forgot to place a Cylon logo on the toaster. I had all of these extra tool cabinets and I had this empty space behind the bay, so why not use it as a storage unit for the maintenance bay. Actually, I was considering making that space into a crews living quarters but the depth was too short for the beds and all of the extra stuff that goes into a living area.
As for the Journey, it was touch and go there for a while and next to the San Salvador Galeon, it is the second longest build so far for me. All of the techniques are for the benefit of the viewers so as to help them make better models and think outside of the box.
This is museum quality!
Thanks for looking in and for your comment and now, who is left to finish their Viper in this thread? I am off to another project, something Nautical I believe and designed by me. I am still working on the templates and then a beta build first before I start to post. Enjoy and see you all around the forum.
