Well, first nice pictures..I will add my 2 favorites from 2006.
This one came about while I was viewing the LED screen and I like what I saw.

This one because these GP38-2s gives us a reminder of the classic GP7/9 short hood operation from the early years.I recall seeing many C&O GP9s operated in this fashion.

Since Larry already hijacked the thread once what's another set of photos, eh?

CN5667WellsboroIN6-5-06.jpg

A westbound Canadian National sulfur train nears the diamonds at Wellsboro, Indiana on June 5. The double track line in the foreground is CSX's Garrett Subdivision into Chicago.

NS9038KingstonOH6-9-06.jpg

NS 9038 drags empties southbound through Kingston, Ohio on June 9. This former N&W line is still a major coal route for Norfolk Southern.

Amtrak90225PorterIN7-13-06.jpg

Amtrak cab car 90225 leads an eastbound Wolverine onto home rails and off Norfolk Southern's Chicago Line on July 13. Amtrak purchased this line from Conrail in the 1980s to begin service upgrades on its Chicago to Detroit route.

IAIS718ChillicotheIL7-15-06.jpg

A set of northbound light power ties up at Chillicothe, Illinois on the Iowa Interstate's Peoria Branch on July 15. This crew had taken a train south from the main into Peoria but wasn't able to make it back home before their hours of service expired.

SantaFe.jpg

On Michigan Avenue in down Chicago is the old Santa Fe's former headquarters. I shot this on an excursion to the city on the South Shore on August 16.

Brian,I thought IF we turn this into a shared topic it wouldn't be another 2-3 comment topic and die out like so many in the past..
So,why not share the best of our best and turn it into a active topic?

Brian, where was that Amtrak shot taken? I've seen a similar looking Amtrack train running through the Downers Grove area on the mainline there.

Heh. Porter, Indiana. I knew I forgot something.

The trains out your way that look like this go to Qunicy, the Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandberg.
