well I just found some really cool looking aqua leds, and for the nacelle caps, small rotating led discs, in blue. a small marble creates the effect in the movies, when placed in front of the discs. pm me for the suppliers. not expensive at all.Star Trek Consititution class comparison.jpg

here is a pic of the rotating disc bling jewelry blue nacelle dome leds. a motion video would be better but i will show that when i am building the stx enterprise. this unit is the size of a dime,
yes that is a dime it is sitting on top of,
just a bit thicker and can be directly wired to a 3x a power source to run with the rest of the ships lighting.GEDC0448.JPG

they sent me more lime green leds.
I searched and found that aqua leds are out of stock everywhere.
apparently my usual luck is back and anything I go to buy is taken off the shelf.
Dang.

found a workable answer. aqua colored thin plastic to be push molded into domes with a white led glued inside it. I might have to make a cylinder out of black paper and mount the led at the end opposite the dome. hot glue filling in front of the white led should diffuse it enough to avoid ''spotlighting'' and just give a soft glow. and for those who don't do lights, a colored dome is adequate. I will post pics soon if I can find something locally without ordering online. here is a pic of the colored plastic.Untitled.png

34713105.jpg these are interesting........ .................these are perfect, imagesR53L1I05.jpg except for one thing. they have to be hydrated and are wet and will shrink if not watered regularly.

aqua candy.jpg CANDY -works good. right color.-----------------aqua rocks.jpg right size, translucent aqua rocks for floral display. glued to the end of a white led, and collared with a black paper sleeve would work very nicely behind a clear dome.

the water beads for vases are wet and too small when dried. found that out today. bought 3 kinds of plastic parts to experiment with lighting up with a white led. should be interesting, will post pics soon.

I used Christmas tree decoration lights leds colored and white.
a green jewel and a blue jewel,
and the first one is white led behind the two in a black tube,
the greener one is a blue led behind the two plastic jewels.
really cheap leds off the strands for Christmas trees,
use a 470 0hm resister for a 9 volt battery or power in- 9 volt 500 millamps.
a cell phone charger cord should work well. just cut off the phone end plug.
use the resistor on the first led in from the power source.

as I build my stx enterprise I will show pics of all this stuff.
