    On the left Wabash 51, the OLDEST (built 1939) WAB operational diesel, and TPHX former Reading 2100 in St Thomas Ontario.

    For me,railroading is steam. Nothing beats it. I don't have anything against diesels or progress but the sound of a steam locomotive labouring up a grade hauling a heavy load is a sight and sound to behold.
