This weekend I finally got some work done on my layout.I got all the feeder wires soldered in place and connected to the bus wires. I tested my loco and it ran great. I will sometime down the road replace the power pack. It is from the original train set that I got back in the 70's and it's seen better days.
Next on my to do list is replace the ties that I removed in order to join rail sections, touch up the paint on the rails and paint over the feeder wires. Prior to ballasting the track I am going to have to install a few structures.I am doing this because some of them are close to the track and I would rather do it now rather than after the ballast is down and have to scrape it away.
I will be posting progress photos as I go along. Have a nice day-Bob

Glad to hear you made progress. maybe that will inspire me :). Replacing a trainset pack with a better offering should make things much more enjoyable. Perhaps on your structures, you could place something to "hold it's place" while you ballast?
