Train Kills Graffiti Writer
PITTSBURGH-September 17, 2003 — Pittsburgh police say a man was killed when he was struck by a train apparently while writing graffiti under a bridge.
The Allegheny County Coroner's office says 24-year-old Evan Walters was pronounced dead about 10 minutes after being struck by the train around 1:40 this morning. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and body.
Police say they found freshly written graffiti near his body and spray paint cans in his backpack.
