As usual, superb work, Flu!

That's quite an amazingly clean and neat looking hull, brilliantly done. The small gun is really an amazing bit of paper modeling magic!

I can hardly wait to seem further updates on this build as you proceed!

Thanks for posting photos of your excellent work!

Cheers!

the hull is nearly closed.......

Hi Folks,

just have a look at the nearly closed hull,.......O.K. some gaps have to be filled in the next steps.....................the overall impression ins´t bad.........

Notice: The main deck must be doubled with cardboard it´s not stiff enough, so it´s realy uneven............we will see how it will look like during the next steps.

Masterful work, Flu!

It's great to see the hull come together so well, mate!

Not sure what gaps you are referring to, I didn't see any in the photos.

Interesting construction on the foredeck structure, can't wait to see how this works out.

Keep at it, mate!

Cheers!

the uneven deck.......and it´s revision......

Hi folks,

I´m proud to tell you how I improved my eneven deck................

Firts I built the deck-boxes and glued it to a new deck. Aligned to the inner bulwark........

p1030123ic0.jpg

p1030124lr1.jpg

After that I dismounted the uneven deck, very carefully, not to destroy the outer bulwark !!

Finally I assembled the new unit well alligned to the outer bulwark......and it works :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::mrgreen: just as reflected last night.......:eek:ops:

the first funnel.....

Hi folks,

I just made the first funnel including it´s funnelrings, but how to do without etched parts?
Just have a look:

the columns are made of doubled cardboard
p1030257ay2.jpg

glued exactly at the markings of the printed funnelrings
p1030258vv9.jpg

the ring is made of plastics
p1030259sp1.jpg

assembly is rather easy.......cutting and glueing all the columns is boring
p1030260nd7.jpg

but the result is more than compensating......

it´s nice isn´t it ?!!

selfmade railings.............and the Bridge

Hi folks,

to become independent from etched parts, I tried to make my railings by myself.....
I show you my first attempts:
Fist step is to cut out a "comb" of cardboard, hardened by plastic glue, then I glued plastic fibres on that comb.......

p1030272dr8.jpg

p1030273en0.jpg

p1030274ap5.jpg

last step was coloring by alkydcolor, what´s your opinion, is that a alternative?

O.K., next step was the Bridge..........
