Nope. Way too small. Barely room enough. I suppose you could shoehorn a tiny little switching module in there.

I'm jealous.

There's a great building. Think of how many trains and track you could run in Zscale...you could probably model the entire state of Delaware...to scale.

And my wife DOES support my hobby!

Twelve by twenty four. Feet, that is. It was built Amish style to have more room in the loft area. It has double doors on each end, one of them being five feet wide, the other six feet wide. It needs to be pushed around, so that it will be "square with world." It was kinda fun to watch it being unloaded. I still have to wire it, and install a good set of lights, as the present set up has them way up in the peak of the roof. I do have more outlets, they are on the walls next to the doors.
Yes, it is a dedicated train room. No, I didn't have it custom built, as such. We picked the style, the roof, the number and size of the windows, as well as the number of outlets and light fixtures and the number of doors and the type of doors. It was built in N.C. by a manufacturer of storage buildings. Total cost: $5,575.85.
Yeah, since it's so small, I may have to go to Z scale!
More info and pics to come! Stay tuned!

Mmmm....looks like a planning and design challenge/exercise waiting to happen! Sketch up some critical dimensions (outlets, heights of window sills, etc.) and post it in the planning forum as a 'contest' to solicit ideas for planning.

Potential is exciting.

Probably should seriously consider Z-scale if you're going to be that cramped for space...

where did they hide the 'envy' icon?

s'cool or what...

Thanks, guys , for all your nice comments!!
Josh M., for a "small fee" I could rent you some space. :twisted:sign1
Galen, Gr-r-r-r-eat idea!! Now why didn't I thunk of it??? :p
I will get right on it!

Any way, my wife thinks you are all a great bunch of guys, (and gals,) too. When I get something done, you all have an open invitation to come out to Va and see it. And maybe, just maybe, I might let you play with my trains, too!
