A CPR run-through intermodal freight lead by CP 5822 and arrives at Warren, Ontario (Ottawa Valley Railway)

Member of the train crew heads out to throw the switch allowing 5822 to take the siding at Warren. I was informed the meet was at least an hour away, so I didn't stick around as it was just a little cold, and my wife was waiting in the car :D

Great shots guys! Love to see some "local colour"!

I find it interesting to see how the ballasting is done. It looks like in many cases the track is actually level with the surrounding landscape and that there are wide ditches on either side of the track. I've been wondering about this for some time, so it's great to have photographic reference. Thanks!
