im going for the simple approach and it will have 2 trains operation

That will keep you busy for a while PVgoo. The yard at the bottom doesn't have much of a lead track so switching could tie up your one main line for a while.

Simple but full of operational possibility. I can see one train running continually on the outer loop as you switch cars on the inner run! Cool!
