Sid, had the same problem when I changed the Rapido over to a MT coupler. Had to mill out a pocket and then had to add a piece of styrene inside the tender to ensure the screw held. Just purchased another one to run a two engine ATSF passenger consist. Too much work to change it over to a MT so I'm thinking of leaving the rapido coupler on and just making a transision RPO car.

Hi again Sid, I want a solid coupling between the two locomotives and decided to go with a draw bar type of lashup. Think this is the only way to go, because replacing that little cosmetic coupler on the front with something substantial can only be done with a draw bar. This will limit my use for the second locomotive, but I could make a transition reefer to run with any consist it might pull.
