It looks great -- what company made this model? Just curious. Rob
it came from a set by President'sChoice. here's a picture of the package
its brass track w/ plastic ties
i have bought Some Atlas track too- 2 packs of 18 degree turns and 1 pack of 22 degree turns. i have also bought 2 opposite switches, and am waiting to go to the U.S. to port huron, because there is a hobby lobby there and i am wanting to get some flexi track.
g2g bedtime now
Interesting- Mini Chef Express??
That is a great start. The brass track is considered junk these days, but don't worry you can still use it if you really need to. Let your parents know we said it isn't very good (-=.
Now most times when we are starting a new layout we think 4 foot by 8 foot plywood, thats not the best. If you was allowed to build a shelf layout thats better 2 foot wide along the wall is very good way to start. Then you can have a big turn at each end. You have to get that parental help with it though good luck bud, and let us know how we can help. We are always willing to keep you on track (-=.
I have the same train set. Although the loco is apparently not 100%, it's great value and runs very well. You can see a real CN Hudson at the railway museum in St. Thomas, which I hope to do again sometime soon. Rob
It must be an old kit if it has Brass track. When did you get it Rob ?
This Hudson was one of the recent IHC-made Presidents Choice train sets that Loblaws sells almost every Christmas. This one was for Christmas 2005, I think. For some reason, these sets come with brass track (although the one that was released in 2006 may not have). It's a mystery where and how IHC obtains and sells this brass track but they do! Rob
Frateschi of Brazil and Model Power still produce Brass Track.
here are some more pics of what i have
and more x2:mrgreen:
and more x3
and more x4:twisted:
theres still more but thats all that i will do for now...it gets kinda tiring doing the same thing over and over... and thats when you accidently make a mistake...lol
