Got this from Robin's daughter Kim.
Hi Johnathan, this is Kim, Robin's daughter
Dad is going to start some chemo treatments on Monday. Through this
week
his pain has been well managed but he feels nauseous and fatigued. The
treatments proposed do not "cure" but rather hold the cancer at bay -
the
tumours should shrink. The aim would be for Dad to come home,
participate
with life in the home, (and on the comuter!). Things are a little up
in the
air right now as we don't know how he'll feel with the treatments. If
he
could not feel sick, get some energy then I think you'll find that
he'll
persist witht he treatments (we have no idea of a timeline ie, 9 mos,
1year,
or the like). I know that he wouldn't want to continue if he can't
feel
better than he feels right now.
I know that this has come as a shock for so many. We truly appreciate
your
thoughts and concerns and I know that Dad enjoys the emails from you
guys
(Mom reads them to him).
I will update you when we have a better idea of what the treatments are
doing for Dad - both physically and mentally.
Regards, Kim
This part is from me,Catt.
Gang if you haven't allready please email your good wishes to Robin.
