Went to a family reunion down in east Tn. this past week, & while I was there, my father-in-law told me about "a bunch of RR stuff" sitting in a field over in Townsend, Tn., about 25 or 30 miles from where I was staying...
So I took a few hours one day, & drove over there to investigate, & here's what I found...
First I found a standard gauge 3-truck Shay (looks to be about an 80 tonner) lettered for the Little River Lumber Co. It appears that someone has been trying to restore this locomotive, & it only has part of its driveshaft intact...
