Thought I would post what a few pics of what's been going on out in the forrest. New cribbed trestle bridge and 11% trestle.

Yes the logs go all the way down to the ground. and underneath the ties are very small logs.

Hi Bill,
The English Lumber Co. had a prototype in Southern Skagit County in 1908. The trestle, built up of cribbed logs was common in the earlier era before the pile driver was in force. The logs were notched, but didn't use spikes so they could take the logs away when the job was done.

Thanks guys,

The little bit of grass colour is all thats been put down so far, it's what I call making a cake, I bake it, then I will decorate it. The trees were added just for effect for the photo. These will come out soon as a start on the undergrowth takes place.
