A few weeks ago met the 90 years of firts crossing the Ecuadorian Andes by Elia Liut, an italian pilot; as a personal tribute I designed a paper model of that plane.
The "Telegrafo I" was a Macchi Hanriot HD-1 aircraft made in Italy during the First World War and that some Italian pilots brought to this continent after those years.
As an integral element decided to design a kind of diorama or allegorical display or of this event was one of the milestones of aviation inicales Ecuador. The base represents the high peaks of the Ecuadorian Andes which Elia Liut had to flight over on this precarious plane.
