Another recent photo showing scenery progress...taken tonight.
Here are a couple of recent pictures.
The mine area has been worked on until it is almost convincing.
Lookin' Good! :thumb:
Here is a picture of the road to the mine.
I've expressed my admiration of this project before but I can't see enough of this excellent cement plant. Thanks for keeping us up tpo date. I'm having cement envy!
Very nice upguy. A great mini-scene that looks busy and realistic.
A few more detail items have been added. Maybe I should make it a game and ask you what has been changed from the last picture.
Now lets see!, a couple pf cars, yellow and red and Telephone, telegraph posts.
Excellent work! Your cement plant looks very real!
Super job, UP! Looks great.
Excellent work. Keep up the excellent work on it.
Very nicely done, UPGuy! It gets better and better with each picture. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
Here are a few recent photos of the cement plant. First is a shot of the pit.
This second photo is a distance shot of the pit and the cement complex.
The next picture shows a reverse angle of the plant.
This is the reverse angle of the entire complex.
Other photos of the plant in this thread.
I haven't visited The Gauge for some time, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I have been working more on other parts of the layout than on the cement plant itself for quite some time now, so I don't think there are really any updates to do there. However, on the corner module that is home to the material pit for the cement plant I have made improvements. I call it the "Toxic Siding Module" on the Oregon Western Lines. The toxic material processing plant at Toxic is located just below the limestone pit that supplies the cement plant.
I covertly took a picture from the hillside across from the plant. You can see workers in their hazardous material suits working on the dock and you can see the hazardous material railroad cars on the siding. After dark, you can actually see the cars glowing! In the distance on the right side of the picture you can see the road leading to the cement plant.
The second picture is an aerial shot of the pit with Toxic below it to the left.
This looks like you have come a long way since you started posting in 2004.
Very nice work
