Although very realistic rendering I couldn't resist to laminate some details to enhance the volumes. I intend to use this model in a micro layout in On18 / 15" gauge (O scale in 9mm rail).
Glued the walls to foam board 3mm thick, gave rigidity and presume is about rigth the wall thickness.
The yellow tape is holding the mask to airbrush the wall with green.
I'm not going to "furnish" the interior, so the curtains are down. but anyhow I gave some colour to the walls. Varnished wood paneling and green walls. The paneling was made with cardboard with grooves that really look like boards. Paneling and walls were airbrushed in very light coats to avoid warping.
This looks GREAT! You did a FANTASTIC JOB on this building!
There is nothing wrong with enhancing or adding more detail to a model that you build. I do it all the time.
Thank you for the encouragement. I've noticed that being away from paper modelling for long makes me lose some of the little knowledge I acquired previously. I never sensed that with other media.
