Im still hard at work with my challenge project, but I took a brief time out and went to work on a big red barn. I have to tell ya, this scratchbuilding thing is getting easier and easier, and im finding it more enjoyable by the day. It was quite a feeling to finnaly finish something. Here is a pic! Ill shoot some more once I get the digital camera up and running again.

Not bad for under $6 dollars in supplies!

Looking good! What did you use for roofing material?

Thanks for you kind words guys!

As for the roofing question, I cut card stock into long strips and the cut horrizontally into them partways to simulate the shingles. Then I alternated the shingles while super gluing them down. Then I pulled various ones back up to show warping....then a coat of flat black and its all done.

Now its back to the challenge build!
