That's interesting. I use Rhino3D as I am a machinists, and I also have designed a few Barns and sheds with it, and some automotive e parts. I have a small machine shop, and Mig/Tig welders, Milling machine, lath, etc. also I had an electronics repairs shop for 10 years, and I am a state certified Electronic Technician, so I have all the o'scopes, and related leak detectors, and probes. You wouldn't believe how many T.V.'s I have taken from the Transfer Station, and 1000 watt power supplies, nice SATA hard drives, graphics cards. I fix my families computers. I have so much ram hanging around here, some is good for older machines. I have never purchased a new T.V.!! I do have a LCD Projector mounted on the ceiling and a 200" inch drop down screen, and I made my own design tapered 1/4 wave tubes speakers, so I watch movies, and get a better experience that if you where in the movie theater.
I use Rhino because I can do parametric scaling and print out patterns 1:1, and tape them together to form large patterns, like bulkheads, for a small Sharpie sailboat I am designing. Rhino will also figure out the boats water displacement. It's really neat to see what people do. You know we have a Renders and Illustrations section, and you could post some of your work there if you wanted too. I would love to see it. as I am sure others would too. It's under "General Card Models" .
