Certainly, the Pennsy had some amazing motive power, specially these duplex!
BTW, the J #610 is an all-time favourite!

I'm not a 100% sure but I think all these locos were/are all made in HO. The N&W class J can be purchased for sure from bachmann spectrum http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/160-82102 It's a beautiful looking loco with fine detail. Wish I could afford one. FREDMedicine Man said:

You may be right MM, I checked and I was thinking of the Pennsy 6-4-4-4 duplex (which you can get). The second (4-4-6-4) is avalible in O and N, but I could of sworn it was once imported in HO brass way back when, but I can't find it. Sorry to get your hopes up. Nice pics. But the Duplexes aren't articulateds. They're rigid framed. The models (in brass) have to have a radius over 30". One from Westside of the 4-4+6-4 needed I think 38".

If the price of oil keeps going up,going back to wood fired steam may not be un-reasonable.

Cjcrescent I didn't mentionned or claimed that Duplex were Articulated. The title on this post is : Articulated and Steam. You came to the wrong conclusion.

Given the title of this thread, "Articulate and Steam" and then shown pics of just non-articulated engines, what was I to think??? A lot of railfans make the mistake of assuming the pennsy Q & T class locos were articulated, but they weren't. They just look like it and again given the title and those pics, it was very easy to believe you had made the same rookie mistake.
