Arado 232 B Millipede

We have received this interesting model of a battle zone transporter of the WWII from Reimers Modellbaubogen.
The model has movable Ruders and landing flaps, retractable undercarriage, foil covered windows. Als payload a SDKFZ 6 can be built and is included. Additional cardboard for lamination, foil, spare parts and further color areas are included.

Apparently the Ar 232 was a delight to fly and land - the small wheels under the fuselage didn't touch the ground when landing on normal runways. The main undercarriage could "kneel" and the fuselage was supported by the wheels under the fuselage. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arado_Ar_232). The RAF was so impressed by the Ar 232 they operated a couple of them after WW2.

Charlie
