| The NS 7 a.m. Raleigh Yard Job came off today as it was returning light
| back from dowtown. I was able to catch it on tape. Don't think I'll
| ever see something like this again.

|
| It started pouring after this, and I had to go, so I didn't see the
| cleanup and repair. Can anyone figure out what could have put this
| train on the ground? The track in the yard isn't in good condition, but
| I wouldn't think a light HH would break a rail.

Hi Everyone,
That de-railment video was not some sort of conspiracy or a purpose filled grudge against N.S..
It was just simply, a lucky chance to see a very rare occurance. It was filmed by a guy named Greg Pope who is a memeber of a site called Rail-Video.net and is a Rail-Fan and like myself out and about now and again taking pictures of Trains for a hobby.
So there was nothing planned or suspisious about it. Just the right place at the right time and can happen to anyone.
Dialogue...
Engineer: Alright! We have a little problem... We just hit the ground hard!
Dispatcher: Where?
Engineer: In the street "Up-switch" (pause) We hit it hard!
I've been looking at the video and there appears to be a small red flag/target near ground level that may indicate a yard limit derail. Or they may have hit a turnout that was not aligned for their route.
The loco jumps up and over to the side like it hit a derail.
