A better way to search for information.

I love this site, but the search engine leave a lot to be desired.

I recently found a better way to search this type of forum.

Go to Google and put in you normal stuff that you want to find.

EI "Bachmann F7 shell"

Now add to the search text "site:http://forum.zealot.com/"

The hits will be only on this site and all hits will have the other words in my list.

Now you can use all the power of the google search engine like OR "" ~ and more.

Great tip! Thanks! I will try this next time I want to search on a key word that's less than four letters.

(Aside - I wonder if the reason for the four-letter rule has to do with the hardware performance cost of indexing the forum text?)

I just tried it and it works nicely.
I'm disappointed with The Gauge search engine ( minimum word length of 4 ) such as searching for SW9 or CNR
