Any advice on placing plastic figures on the various “scenic-ed” landscapes? --Ballast, vegetation, plastic bases of structures…

Do you use glue? What kind? Do you prepare the substrate?

What about horses and cows that have no base, but only four tiny hooves?

I am modeling in n-scale.

Thanks!

I use Woodland Scenics Accent Glue. But I find that this glue is stronger than a lot of the glue holding down my scenery and stronger than the paint on my platforms. My various animals have bits of ground foam or other material stuck to their hooves.

I also use the Accent Glue. It allows you to re-position the figures several times, too, so you can move the figures around every once-in-a-while. This guy, below, has been trying to get into his car now for a couple of years, although he may be somewhat confused since I switch the vehicle every so often. :-D:p

glue

tacky glue from the craft stores works well, it's basically thick white glue. it keeps the citizens of Gorre county, over in the logging minning and industrial section happily in place, and is reversable.

Which guy? :confused::confused::confused::confused:

I have used both tacky glue and plastic glue depending on what the figure is going on. I also cut down on the base when a figure is on one. The figures will stand up with just a little glue, even without a base.
