I was a kid in Miami, Florida, who loved the sea and even drew and built his own ship models in the 40's, now in year 86 and still doing s bit of the same constructing a 1/200 scale gunboat of the Nile. I am so glad to see you return. I used many of the old card micro-models. Living now near Chicago where I taught art and photography for over 42 years and traveled around and even spent a full summer on the island of Samos, Greece and other countries in the area. Thanks again. Even have a few miniature ships all through the time.

Hello,

Please allow me to be the first one to welcome you (back) to Zealot! You have come to the right place for all things paper/cardstock, and to build and hone your skills. The members here are very helpful.

I too started out building paper/cardstock models as a youngster (I was 13 at the time).

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, need help or advice. Please feel free to ask and we will do what we can to help you (or at least point you in the right direction).

When you start a new project, I would like to encourage you to post a build thread. Build threads are a great way of show off your work and skills. Not only that, but if you run into an issue with a model you can highlight the area that you are having problems with and we can offer you some suggestions on how to deal with them.

Once again, welcome back. I hope that you enjoy yourself here. I look forward to seeing your work.

Please post pictures of your work. This thread would be a great place. Welcome back to ZEALOT! :)
