Has anyone ever seen a z scale shay or shay type engine? It doesn't even have to have an engine. A friend wants to make a diorama, and he doesn't care if the engine operates. Thanks.

There are Nn3 shays. They run on z-scale track, and possibly could be used with some modification...

Couplers I believe. The kit is all the white metal castings needed to turn a Marklin F-7 into a shay...except the couplers.
Mountain Man, can you imagine one of those shays and a 2-8-0 decending a nearly scale size cork screw gulch! WOW! Nn3 is tempting to me.
He is adamant about z-scale as he has a scale logging deal he wants to do on a door. I told him good luck, but I would ask the folks at the gauge. Thanks.
At a train show a few weeks ago, a vender was selling an N scale shay. but that is so small I can't imagine one in Z.
