X-Wing Fighter build

Hi,
started with the x-wing of sirius.

first parts: wings: each wing consists of two parts as shown in the picture.
Easy doing by comparing with my last build which was the viper of UHU02.

nevertheless interesting model, as the wings can be moved from closed wings (just flying) to open wings (attack mode).

we´ll see how it works.

Hi next parts to be assembled (picture 1), as you can see the position is described exactly - same is true for the wings - be careful not to mix the parts.

picture 2, 3, 4 parts have to be folded related to the glueing tabs. therefore I use both parts to define the fold lines.
The small part is on the inside of the bigger one.

picture 5 result

picture 6 wings not yet fixed to avoid wrong placing;-))

@dnalor - can´t say why - the creator of the model designed them this way - engines fit perfect to the wings which have the same format

so now the body

tip: do not put front body and back body together now, first attach the wings and then finalize the back body and combine with the front part

if done right now it is rather difficult to put the wing mashine into place

- by the way it is gonna be a big model especially in comparison with my latest model the viper mark II of Uhu02 ;-) (pictures to follow)

It's a limitation of the software. I've seen this a lot. It doesn't stop the builder from making them round though. :)

Picture 1: Corrected nose - thx again for the hint.
Picture 2: parts of the engine ....and.... first parts for the finalization of the guns which are not included in the model - I made them 17mm * 9mm and cut the corners (Picture 3)
Picture 4: finalized engines and second parts for the finalization of the gunds, where I used the parts of the engines
Picture 5 and 6: finalized X-wing also in comparison with Colonial Viper Mark II (UHU02)

All in all a fast build not very difficult - biiiig model in comparison to my other fighters.

Was fun - thx to the creator of the model.
