Working in yet another scale?

My wife talked me into buying Bachman's model of Walt Disney's backyard railroad.
Now I realise that I'm working in a brand new scale.
Walt's railroad was 1/8th full size and I think ran on 7.5" gauge track. My model runs on HO gauge track. If I divide the 5/8" into 7.5" I get 1:12.

So I now have a 1" to 1' model of a 1 1/2" to 1' model.

Next week: the dollhouses!

Well, I'm having fun running it. I've replaced all the wheels in the cars, but the pickup is 2 wheels on each side of the tender and it doesn't like Peco insulfrogs, in one direction anyway.

It doesn't really fit with my model of pre-1959 Britain.

But I have the book on Disney's railways and I always liked the Carolwood Pacific.
When we were down the precious week and bought her trolley, I thought the Disney set was $150; then our local shop had it marked $250. When I saw only $100, I went for it.
Now I need 1/12 size models of Walt, Ward Kimball, Ollie Johnson, ...
