Aside from a bad, slow-loading photo?

It's an "EMD 70" passenger boxcab according to once source. The Santa Fe purchased two for use on the Super Chief; the cars were a joint project of EMC and St. Louis Car and were constructed in September of 1935 but didn't enter regular service until May of the following year. They were each powered by a pair of 900hp Winton 201A engines producting 3600hp from the pair.

Next time, n00b, come to your "other family" first for answers. :curse:

Well... *ahem*... some of it was on the caption. :-\

More of it was in an excerpt of an old KPC spotter's guide.

The rest came out of Brian's book collection, once he knew what it was.

I think these engines were a rather horrible shade of green too, IIRC
