Hey guys- I'm using a Peco electrofrog diamond on my layout, but it's representing a dummy track, strictly for show. Do I still need to do any special wiring with this, or would it be sufficient to just insulate the rails that lead to the dummy track?

I'm going to be using DCC, but initially, it's just going to be wired as one big block, until I can afford the DCC system (and have more than one loco to run!)

Thanks!

Do you use one track of the diamond, but not the other?
If so, you probably want to wire the frogs to the rails in the track in use. If there's any possibility that you'll use the other track, leave enough slack to add a DPDT switch or a reversing module. You can sometimes save on the reversing module if there's a switch that has to be thrown to run on the secondary track.
