They, or something similar, came to Mobile 7 or so years ago. Couldn't afford the flight price but spent hours inside the Liberator soaking it up. Had a great time. Did you go up in any?

Lucky you!! I agree, the bomb bay walkway is very narrow. Can you imagine standing there on a bomb run, doors open, trying to kick hung bombs loose? That was definitely a young man's job!

Thanks for the pics, Padre ! What a great way to spend a day...last time I saw any number of these wonderfully loved and cared for beasts was the Confederate AF at Latrobe, Pa. years ago. What an exhibition. Thanks for sharing...now will you fold up a Lib, complete with interior, for us ??? Bob C.
