How does one capture an image of ones desktop?
Okay, so I'm a novice, but I love all of the desktops I've seen and would like to know how you capture the desktop images that have been posted here.

well simplest way would be to hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard

and depending on the graphics program you have, do New from Clipboard or New Image

and then just rename and save, and upload as usual

As far as I know, to post the image in the message you need to have the picture on the internet, on a webpage somewhere.
I tried to post my desktop using the attachment option, but it didn't seem to work. I finally uploaded it to my webpage and then cut and pasted the link as an image in the message, and it worked.
Not sure why the photo could not be uploaded as an attachment, so maybe someone can explain better how to do it as a attachment.

Try uploading a .jpg file instead of gif, png or bmp. If possible, keep the file sizes to a minimum (30-50k) so that those that are on dialup can grab a peek without having to mow the lawn before it comes down :)

Here's something I made for my grandson. Took forever to find the kit but was worth it. Sometimes eBay is worth the headache!
