When you find a sorce, why don't we put it in this thread so it's easy to find?

OK, these are mainly what I've seen in other threads:

Rio Grand Moddling Ltd. a few pics and pdf down load pices.

Billing Boats or in English, accessories.

Some I googled up:

Hobby Shack On-line general hobby shop with both a train and a boat section.

Nature Coast HS boat stuff

Tower Hobbies Big into RC, but you might search up the gizmo you've always wanted, especially in the boat section or in the Boat Running Hardware section.

Naval Base Hobbies didn't see anything for logging, but they have boats in HO and N.

MNY Loads of links but half were dead.

Sirmar Model Ship Fittings - Ships

B.T.S not shown on their site is a lot of small tools for detailing (i.e. putting your little plastic folks to work), shovels, axes, oil cans, etc. They are listed here in detail parts including a logging section. Good junk in the detail clusters sect. I can see them getting into my wallet some day...

SCALE STRUCTURES LTD more detail parts, but no pictures here.

www.ozarkminiatures.com Ozark miniatures.

Large scale stuff 1:20. 1:22, 1:24, and 7/8ths.
I use the large array of logging stuff from Ozark. Great stuff good service.
I have not yet done a large scale logging scene yet. But I plan on it. I just have to cut down some full scale trees to make the space.
I have seen some remarkable logging stuff done in large scale and I'm itchin' to get into it now. You guys have me going.

I model logging ca. 1947 in HO.
For sources, I primarily use:
1. Rio Grande Models (already mentioned)
2. B.T.S./Master Creations (already mentioned)
3. Durango Press--link: http://www.jlinnovative.com/
4. Walthers (for all sorts of detail parts like Sheepscot Model Products and SS Ltd. and Evergreen Hill Designs)--link: http://www.walthers.com/exec/page/search
5. Train and Trooper (I plan to order from them for the first time next month because I hear they have a good reputation.)--link: http://www.trainandtrooper.com/

Oso Publishing also has good books on the subject.

Well I did it! I bit the bullet and decided to dive into the On30 scene.

I just ordered from Trainworld a D&RGW Passenger set, a D&RGW Baggage Car, 3-pack of Bachman skeleton cars with logs, 3-pack of wooden dump cars, and last but not least, an 0-4-2 Porter. The log cars and dump cars are on back-order so god knows when they will arrive.

From Standard Hobby I ordered an additional set of log cars as they had one set in stock.

I've ordered HO stuff and N stuff from both places and was happy with the results, I always seem to cross my fingers tho whenever I place an order until the order arrives.

Now to plan a narrow-guage layout...:)

Hello all. I have been finding a fair amount of tough to get stuff at Jay's Trains. See: http://www.jaystrains.com/ . He is very good about shipping promptly. He has a huge amount of knowledge about who made what--just what I need when I know I've seen it in somebody's ad but didn't write it down. Anyway, I am VERY pleased with the service I have gotten.

This one is for UK Listers.
My local hobby shop ' Wakefield Model and Craft Centre' must have the cheapest prices in UK for 0n30 stuff - their web site is:
https://vault1.secured-url.com/model/, it's fairly new so the bachmann stuff is not up there yet - worth giving them a call to see what's currently on offer.
Sample price - Porter 0-4-2s at £28.00. Also stocks a fair US range in HO RTR and plastic kits.
No affiliation, just a happy customer! :)
