What scale are Playmobil figures, buildings, and vehicles?
nope I am wrong.
After scouring the internet, I came across this explanation of Playmobil scale.
I dont get it, why would you use these on a lay out. Is it something for you youngsters?
They are I think 1:26 or something like that. That would be S gauge maybe.
S gauge is 1:64 scale. I've heard of people using Playmobil figures on large G scale layouts (1:22.5 scale) but I've never seen one of the figures next to a train so I can't say anything about how it looks. Best bet would be to try to find a local hobby shop that has G scale trains, take a figure in for comparison, and eyeball it to see if you like the look. Different manufacturers make G trains to different scales (1:22.5, 1:32, and at least one scale in between), so you'll have to compare. I think LGB is 1:22.5; MTH is 1:32, and Aristocraft and USA Trains are somewhere in between--if I remember right.
They look like play school figures and are popular with fixed board layouts. They look nice with like engines and cars.
They also have a push pull set too.
