The Goderich and Exeter Railroad in southern Ontario has been hosting this unit recently. It's doing revenue runs between Goderich and Toronto.

I don't now if any f units are still in revenue service.

That's what I was just thinking of....

I also thought of Carolina Southern, a shortline in South Carolina which few people seem to have heard of, though you'd think Fs would draw railfans. Their active roster in 2000 was about 4 low-nose GP18s, a high-nose GP18, a high-nose GP30 (still in Southern "tuxedo" paint!), an F7Au and an F9Bu (still in CN "sergeant stripes"!) Judging by photos I've seen, the roster was the same in 2006.

So, unless they've been retired since then...

I stopped by the location where the F& & DLMX were parked to see what they were doing there before. They were both gone but a P&W worker told me that Doyle McCormack (the owner of these two, the #4449 and many other old steam locos) loaned them to P&W to provide water to fight the fire in the tunnel. Although there wasn't anything on the news about it, I was told that it burned up in some holes for about two weeks. Doyle provided the water tank and built some special pipes to spray water in the holes to put out the fire. Tunnel just re-opened today.
