It was in a box of freight car bits and pieces that came with my two Athearn SDP40F's. It's AHM/Roco, I'm guessing that it was probably made in the mid 70's.
Yes, but don't go thumbing through Overland, MTH or BLI catalogs just yet...I was told that about the NYC one and I got it for $3 at a swap meet :mrgreen::thumb:

Business has been so good at Sullivan Wood Products that they have purchased a slightly used SD24 #427 from the defunct Aardvark Central Railroad. SWP will reletter the unit but the paint and number will stay the same. The SD24 is a bit of overkill for a switcher but the president of SWP is a clever fella and got it for a song.

If I have it, it is somewhere at my parents house. I will try and remember to look next time I am over there. I think it may have been an old tyco with plastic talgo trucks, and I would bet the trucks are damaged or missing. I may also have a few old life-like f-7 shells if you are interested.
Looks like a nice unit IandO heck you just cant beat it for that price (song) dont even look like she has any rust or wear on her:thumb:
Thanks. She's a nice lookin and nice running unit. I guess it's good for SWP that the Aardvark Central kept her clean. Too bad they didn't do the same with their accounting.
